a group pitch / animatic for imax’s d&ad new blood brief - ‘show off the immersive imax experience before the main show’s even begun’. ‘ultramarine’ is a 2d animation inspired by all of the wonders that lie ‘beyond the blue’. in a dried out coral-like setting, our protagonist is dissatisfied with their view of the sky through a traditional telescope, and follows an illuminated uphill path that promises a clearer view. made in collaboration with: rachel page + ines carey vives!
